What is biodiversity? Why is it so important? What can each of us do to protect it? To answer these questions and provide tools of use to the whole association, the Slow Food Foundation has drawn on the help of agronomists, university lecturers and other experts to produce educational materials (one video and three booklets) on biodiversity, the Ark of Taste and the Slow Food Presidia.
The booklets explain what biodiversity is and what it has to do with our everyday food. They use concrete examples and practical actions to show how to add to the Ark of Taste, the world's biggest catalog of flavors, and how to start a Presidia, establishing relationships with producers and organizing the project's activities.
