A Tuscan branch to report on Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity projects

28/01/11
On Tuesday January 18, Slow Food Foundation for Biodiversity President Piero Sardo, along with the representative of the Agricultural Department of Tuscany Simone Tarducci and the administrator of the Regional Agricultural Agency of Alberese Walter Nunziatini, signed a convention that schedules the opening of a center to represent the Slow Food Foundation in Tuscany.

The base will be set up inside the "granaio Lorenese" (a former granary) of the Regional Agricultural Agency of Alberese (at the very heart of the Maremma, in the Grosseto province), a public farm that stretches over 4,600 hectares (700 hectares of pine forest, 2,000 hectares of woods, 300 hectares of olive groves and 50 hectares of vineyards).

Between May and September (the public opening period), the projects on biodiversity will be presented there (the Presidia, the Earth Markets, A Thousand Gardens in Africa, etc.), and various activities will be organized: tastings, seminars, conferences, etc. Slow Food Tuscany and in particular the Grossetano Convivium will manage the center.
