The handbook explains the project's philosophy and general objectives and offers a series of suggestions.
It is intended as a starting point along the journey towards a Slow Food garden, and not as a point of arrival.
The local project coordinators and the communities will identify the practices best suited to the different environmental, social and cultural contexts in each country.
The handbook was completed together with the local coordinators of the project during the workshop on the Thousand Gardens in Africa project (Pollenzo, 7-12 March, 2011).
